Acceptable Use Policy
Opt-in consent requirements, anti-spam standards, and compliance enforcement.
Last updated · 15 September 2026 · Effective for all Weflux customers.
1. Platform governance
Weflux provides businesses with managed software access to Meta's official WhatsApp Business Cloud API. All use of Weflux is governed by:
- Meta's WhatsApp Business Messaging Policy
- Meta's WhatsApp Commerce Policy
- Applicable laws in India, including the Information Technology Act, 2000, the Consumer Protection Act, 2019, and the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 (DPDP).
2. Mandatory affirmative opt-in consent
Consent is mandatory for all outbound communications. You may only send WhatsApp messages to recipients who have given you documented, unambiguous, affirmative opt-in consent to receive WhatsApp messages from your business.
You must maintain auditable records of consent (such as website checkbox timestamps, physical sign-up forms, or recorded transaction logs) and produce verifiable evidence of consent upon request by Weflux or Meta Platforms, Inc.
3. Prohibition on purchased or scraped lists
Weflux does not provide, sell, rent, broker, or facilitate access to contact lists, phone number databases, or scraped leads.
Uploading, importing, or targeting purchased, rented, scraped, or third-party phone lists on Weflux is a direct and severe breach of this Acceptable Use Policy and results in immediate account termination without refund.
4. Prohibited uses & unsolicited messages
You may not use Weflux to:
- Send unsolicited commercial communications, mass unsolicited notifications, or spam;
- Message individuals who have not explicitly opted in or who have opted out;
- Send messages using unapproved templates or circumventing Meta's template approval review;
- Distribute content related to illegal substances, weapons, adult products, gambling, get-rich-quick schemes, or deceptive financial products;
- Impersonate any brand, individual, governmental authority, or company;
- Engage in harassment, phishing, misleading advertising, or malware distribution.
5. Mandatory opt-out handling
Every message recipient must have a straightforward, immediate way to opt out of future communications at any time (e.g., replying "STOP" or clicking an opt-out button). Weflux automatically detects standard opt-out keywords, tags the contact, and blocks further outbound campaign messages to that contact. Opt-out states are permanently honoured and cannot be manually overridden.
6. Quality monitoring & suspension
We actively monitor account-level delivery quality, user block rates, spam reports, and Meta quality ratings. If an account exhibits patterns consistent with unsolicited messaging, sudden spikes in block rates, or quality rating drops to 'Low', Weflux reserves the right to immediately suspend messaging privileges without prior notice.
Violators will not be eligible for subscription refunds. Severe or repeat violations will result in permanent account termination and reporting to Meta Platforms, Inc.
7. Reporting abuse
We maintain a zero-tolerance stance against unsolicited messaging. If you have received an unsolicited WhatsApp message sent via Weflux infrastructure or wish to report suspected misuse, please email our abuse desk immediately at abuse@weflux.in. We investigate and act on all abuse reports within 24 hours.
