Copy these, change the wording to sound like you, and submit them. Replace the {{1}}-style variables with your own fields.

Every example here follows the two rules that cause most rejections: no template begins or ends with a variable, and no two variables sit next to each other. If you adapt these, keep that intact.

Order and shipping (Utility)

Order confirmed

Hi {{1}}, your order {{2}} is confirmed. We will let you know as soon as it ships. Order total: {{3}}. Buttons: Track order · Contact us

Shipped

Hi {{1}}, good news, your order {{2}} has been dispatched and should arrive by {{3}}. Button: Track shipment

Out for delivery

Hi {{1}}, your order {{2}} is out for delivery today. Please keep your phone reachable. Buttons: Reschedule · Contact us

Delivered

Hi {{1}}, your order {{2}} was delivered today. We hope it is exactly what you wanted. Button: Rate your order

Cash on delivery (Utility)

COD confirmation

Hi {{1}}, please confirm your cash-on-delivery order {{2}} for {{3}} so we can dispatch it today. Buttons: Confirm order · Cancel

This one earns its place for Indian D2C. Every unconfirmed COD parcel that ships is a return-to-origin cost paid twice.

Cart recovery (Marketing)

Reminder

Hi {{1}}, you left {{2}} in your cart. It is still there if you would like to finish your order. Button: Complete order

Reminder with an offer

Hi {{1}}, still thinking about {{2}}? Here is {{3}} off if you complete your order in the next 24 hours. Button: Complete order

Both are Marketing, correctly declared. Submitting either as Utility is the classic rejection.

Appointments (Utility)

Confirmation

Hi {{1}}, your appointment is confirmed for {{2}} at {{3}}. We will send a reminder the day before. Buttons: Reschedule · Cancel

Reminder

Hi {{1}}, a reminder about your appointment tomorrow, {{2}} at {{3}}. Buttons: Confirm · Reschedule

Keep the procedure or department out of it. The person knows what they booked, and the message sits on a device that may be shared.

Re-engagement and stock (Marketing)

Back in stock

Hi {{1}}, {{2}} is back in stock. You asked us to let you know when it returned. Button: Shop now

The second sentence matters. Reminding someone they opted in measurably lowers the block rate.

Win-back

Hi {{1}}, it has been a while. Here is {{2}} off your next order if you would like to come back. Button: Shop now · Footer: Reply STOP to opt out

Payments (Utility)

Payment reminder

Hi {{1}}, a reminder that your payment of {{2}} is due on {{3}}. You can pay using the link below. Button: Pay now

Keep it factual. A reminder that reads as pressure is both a conduct risk and a fast route to being blocked.

Adapting these safely

Start with text, always. "Hi {{1}}" is fine; "{{1}}, your order" is not.

Never end on a variable. Put the link behind a button rather than trailing {{3}} at the end of the message.

Separate your variables. {{1}} {{2}} adjacent reads as a blank to a reviewer.

Give realistic samples. Submit "Priya" and "WF-10428", not "xxxx" and "test".

Declare the category honestly. If the message would make no sense had the customer never bought anything, it is Marketing.

Add an opt-out footer to Marketing templates. It costs a few recipients and protects your quality rating, which is worth more.

The templates guide covers the categories and rejection reasons in full, and how to get a template approved is the shorter checklist.

Frequently Asked Questions

Can I copy these templates directly?
Yes, adapt the wording to your business and submit them. They are written to comply with Meta's formatting rules, but approval is always Meta's decision and depends on your business and category.
Why does every template start with text rather than a variable?
Because Meta rejects templates that begin or end with a variable. A reviewer cannot judge a message that starts with a placeholder, so every example here surrounds its variables with real text.
What do the numbers in the double braces mean?
They are variables, filled in per recipient when you send. Number them in order with no gaps, and give a realistic sample value for each when you submit.
